Norfolk Southern Train Hits Car In Central PA: Authorities

A car was struck by a Norfolk Southern train in Hershey on Wednesday morning, authorities say.

The collision happened on East Derry Road just after 3:30 a.m. on July 19, 2023.

At 7:21 a.m., Derry Township police announced that the road will remain closed for about three to four hours, and the public should find alternative routes.

No injuries were reported, according to Dauphin County emergency dispatch.

Daily Voice has reached out to Norfolk Southern for comment and has yet to hear back as of 10:45 a.m.
